Have you ever dreamt of living during the Summer of Love? Looking back at recent decades, 70s fashion stands out for its relaxed, colorful, and creative style. It is one of my personal favorites because of the playfulness and cutting-edge silhouettes. So that is why today I am sharing some 70s fashion outfit inspiration with a modern twist!
Behind The Collection
Luckily, Wrangler has teamed up again with Peter Max to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Summer of Love—and the 70th anniversary of Wrangler jeans. Though the denim brand is more commonly known for their western denim style; the latest collection is making a splash with its 70s fashion look. Wrangler has a long history of producing quality clothing at an affordable price.
And Peter Max? Even if you aren’t familiar with the collection, chances are you’ve seen his genius pop art. Most people know the artist for his Summer of Love era work, emblazoned on everything from coffee mugs to clothes. Peter Max has paintings of six U.S. Presidents, that is actually on display in Presidential Libraries and in U.S. Embassies.
Wrangler X Peter Max Collection
The Wrangler x Peter Max collection bridges the lively pop art vision of Peter Max with the comfortable fit that Wrangler customers want—with a 70s fashion twist. Each piece is psychedelically packaged identically to the 1970 collection. So basically now the clothes have more modern funk and boldness than the original line.
70s Fashion Outfit Inspiration
The collection (menswear and womenswear) is budget-friendly. For example, check out these graphic t-shirts that I am wearing in this post. Personally, my favorite item from the collection is this denim jacket. Also, if you are needing tips on how to style a denim jacket, then check out this post. Summertime may be over, but I predict we will be spotting this 70s fashion trend throughout Fall.
You can snag the Wrangler x Peter Max fall collection either online or in store. Right now, you can shop at two official Wrangler stores in the U.S. located in both Dallas, TX and Lone Tree, CO. So if you’re dying to purchase some of the pieces, I highly suggest checking out their website before it is all sold out.
